August 3, 2023 – As of this issue, I am retiring my weekly newspaper column. Hopefully, I will continue to submit an occasional column as I can, but this one will explain that “it is time…” Thank you all for your support over the years. It’s meant a great deal to me. In the meantime, I hope to add more of my articles, stories and memories  that I’ve written over the years to this website.
